COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is a bundle or 4 courses which include; Basic Electricity, Properties of AC Circuits, Power and Power Factor, and Three Phase Systems.

BASIC ELECTRICITY

In this 2 hour four lesson program on basic electrical fundamentals, we will be introducing and studying the general physics that is the basic natural laws which govern the application in utilization of electricity. This material will serve as the solid foundation on which to build the more advanced concepts that are dealt with in our many other training programs.

  • Calculations of Power in an Inductive and Capacitive Circuit

POWER AND POWER FACTOR

  • Understand what a voltage drop is and how you determine a sources voltage requirements
  • Learn about the principals of operation of transformers and about the idea transformer, the autotransformer and the instrument transformer

THREE PHASE SYSTEMS

  • Learn about three phase generation and the three phase basics
  • Understand a balanced operation system
  • Review the different connection methods
  • Covers line voltage in three phase systems and the four wire three phase system
  • Learn the apparent, reactive and real power in three phase systems and understand the examples of each

OSHA CERTIFICATION

A printable certificate can be downloaded immediately upon successful completion of this 4 hour course.

TESTING
